Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Measure and Cut: Measure the required length for your application. Use a fine-tooth saw or uPVC cutting tool to trim the board to size. Ensure cuts are straight for a clean finish.
- Prepare Surface: Ensure the surface you are applying the capping board to is clean, dry, and free from dust or debris.
- Apply Adhesive/Fixings: Apply a suitable exterior-grade adhesive along the back of the board or along the surface to be covered. Alternatively, use appropriate screws (not included) for fixing. Ensure fixings are compatible with uPVC and the substrate.
- Install Board: Press the board firmly into place, aligning it with the edge or surface. If using adhesive, allow adequate drying time as per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Attach End Caps: Once the board is securely in place, apply adhesive to the inside of the matching end caps and slide them onto the exposed ends of the capping board for a neat finish.
Compatibility:
This capping board is designed to be applied over existing timber fascia, roofline edges, soffits, window sills, or for boxing in pipework and cable covers. It is compatible with standard building adhesives and fixings suitable for uPVC and external/internal use.
Care:
To maintain the appearance of the Golden Oak woodgrain finish, simply wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the foil finish.
