Setup, Compatibility & Care
For installation, ensure you are using a high-quality impact driver or drill/driver set to a moderate torque setting. Because these screws use an inner star (Torx) drive, always use the provided bits to avoid damaging the screw head. If working with very dense or aged hardwoods, while the screws are self-drilling, a pilot hole is still recommended to ensure maximum thread engagement and to prevent potential binding. To maintain the life of these screws, avoid contact with iron-based tools that can leave metallic residue, as this can cause surface staining on the stainless steel. Keep the container sealed in a dry environment to ensure the glide coating remains effective until the final screw is used.
