FAQs

Are these shorts suitable for swimming?

While they are made of quick-drying polyester, they are designed specifically for field sports and athletic training, not as dedicated swimwear.

Do these shorts have pockets?

The PUMA teamLIGA Shorts design prioritizes athletic performance and does not include side pockets.

How do I choose the right size?

These shorts feature a regular fit. If you are between sizes, consider your preference for a looser or more tailored feel, though the drawcord allows for significant adjustment.

Can I use fabric softener?

It is generally recommended to avoid fabric softener as it can coat the fibers and interfere with the moisture-wicking performance of the dryCELL technology.

Is the material see-through?

The shorts are made from durable, opaque recycled polyester designed for sport, providing full coverage during activity.

Troubleshooting

Drawcord gets pulled inside the waistband

Use a safety pin attached to the end of the drawcord to feed it through the casing until it emerges from the eyelet.

Fabric snagging

Avoid contact with rough surfaces and wash in a mesh laundry bag to protect the mesh panels from catching on zippers or velcro.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Moisture-wicking fabric keeps you cool
Environmentally friendly 100% recycled material
Highly adjustable fit via the drawcord
Excellent ventilation from mesh inserts

Cons

Regular fit may be too loose for those preferring compression gear
White color variant requires more frequent cleaning
Limited to adult sizes

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your PUMA teamLIGA Shorts, follow standard athletic wear care protocols. Because they are made from 100% recycled polyester, they are naturally durable and quick-drying. It is recommended to machine wash in cold water with similar colors and avoid harsh bleach. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to maintain the integrity of the mesh inserts and the moisture-wicking properties. The elasticated waistband is designed to accommodate various body types, and the drawcord ensures they remain secure even during sprinting or jumping.
