Yes, the hood is detachable, offering versatility depending on weather conditions and personal preference.

The jacket is filled with 90% goose down and 10% goose feathers. It contains non-textile parts of animal origin.

The jacket features water-resistant zips and is constructed from water-resistant materials, offering good protection against light to moderate rain and snow. For prolonged exposure to heavy downpours, a dedicated waterproof shell may be more suitable.

Store the jacket loosely in a breathable garment bag or on a hanger. Avoid compressing it for extended periods, as this can damage the down insulation and reduce its loft and warmth.

Down refers to the soft, fluffy undercoating of birds, providing excellent insulation. Feathers have a quill and offer less insulation but add structure and loft. A blend like 90% down/10% feather offers a balance of warmth and durability.

Ensure the fabric is not caught in the zipper. Gently try to move it. If it persists, apply a small amount of wax or a graphite pencil lead to the zipper teeth.

The down filling may have clumped. Tumble dry the jacket on a low heat setting with clean tennis balls to help redistribute and re-fluff the down.

Check for damage to the fabric or seams. The water-resistant treatment may need reapplication. Use a specialized waterproofing spray for technical outerwear.

Ensure the powder skirt is correctly fastened around the waist. Check for any obstructions and adjust the fit.
