Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Nike Phantom Luna 2 Elite FG boots, it's recommended to wear them around the house for short periods to begin the break-in process. This helps the materials mold to your foot shape, ensuring maximum comfort on the pitch. When lacing, ensure a snug fit that cradles your foot without being overly restrictive. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG (Firm Ground) soleplate, specifically engineered for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and not waterlogged. Using them on artificial grass (AG), turf, or very hard ground may compromise the stud integrity, reduce performance, and potentially void any warranty. Always match your boot type to the playing surface.
Care
To maintain the performance and longevity of your boots, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning After Use: After each game or training session, gently brush off loose dirt and grass. If necessary, use a damp cloth or soft sponge with mild soap to clean the upper. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive brushes.
- Soleplate Care: Clean the soleplate thoroughly to remove mud and debris from between the studs. This ensures optimal traction for future use.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Submersion: Do not submerge the boots in water, as this can affect the materials and bonding.
