Johnstone's Trade Woodworks Opaque Wood Finish Satin offers superior protection and enhances the natural beauty of wood surfaces. Its advanced formula creates a durable, water-resistant barrier that resists cracking, peeling, and fading, ensuring long-lasting protection against the elements. The satin finish provides a subtle sheen, adding depth and richness to the wood grain. This wood finish is easy to apply due to its smooth consistency and dries quickly. It is also self-priming, saving time and effort. Suitable for exterior use on garden furniture, cladding, sheds, gates, fascias, and fencing. For best results, ensure timber is sound, clean, and dry (moisture content not exceeding 20%). Treat any mould or lichen with Sterilisation Wash as directed. Avoid inhalation of dust and wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken when preparing pre-1960 paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
