How do I clean the Alfresia cushion?

Is the cushion suitable for all garden chairs?

This cushion is custom-made for Alfresia Relaxer chair frames. For other furniture, please measure your chair carefully against the cushion's dimensions to ensure a proper fit.

Troubleshooting

Cushion does not fit securely on the chair.

Ensure you are using the integrated fabric pocket to attach the cushion to the chair frame. If using on a non-Alfresia chair, verify measurements before purchase, as fit may vary.

Cushion appears to be absorbing water.

The polyester shell is water-resistant, not waterproof. For heavy rain, it's best to bring the cushion indoors. If it becomes wet, allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using high heat to dry.

Color fading over time.

While designed for vibrant colors, prolonged direct sunlight can cause fading. Consider rotating the cushion or providing partial shade for extended periods.

Cushion loses its shape or comfort.

The secure stitching helps maintain shape. Avoid sitting on the edges excessively or placing heavy objects on the cushion when stored. Minor reshaping may occur over time with use.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

This cushion is designed for immediate use. Simply place it onto your compatible garden chair. For Alfresia Relaxer chair frames, utilize the fabric pocket located on the cushion to securely attach it to the chair's frame. Ensure the cushion is positioned correctly for maximum comfort and support.

Compatibility:

  • Primary Fit: This cushion is custom-made for Alfresia Relaxer chair frames.
  • Other Furniture: If you intend to use this cushion with furniture not manufactured by Alfresia, it is crucial to measure your chair dimensions before purchasing. Compare your chair's width, seat depth, and back length against the cushion's dimensions (Width: 53cm, Seat Depth: 98cm, Thickness: 10cm, Back Length: 67cm). Please note that the cushion is designed for relaxer-style chairs and may not be suitable for other furniture types.
  • Frame Not Included: This product includes the cushion only; the chair frame is sold separately.

Care Instructions:

  • Cleaning: For best results, clean the cushion using a damp cloth. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners that could damage the fabric or its water-resistant coating.
  • Water Resistance: While the polyester shell offers water resistance, prolonged exposure to heavy rain is not recommended. Allow the cushion to dry thoroughly if it becomes wet.
  • Foam Integrity: The secure stitching and way the crumb stuffing is sewn together help maintain the cushion's shape. Avoid excessive force or pressure that could compromise the internal structure.
  • Storage: Store in a dry place when not in use, especially during harsh weather conditions or off-season, to preserve its material integrity and appearance.
