FAQs
Are these trainers suitable for rigorous sports?
While durable for active play and light sports, these trainers are primarily designed for everyday comfort and casual wear rather than intense athletic activities that might require specialized sports shoes.
How do Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® work?
The Hands Free Slip-ins® technology integrates a unique design, including the Heel Pillow®, that allows your child to slide their foot into the shoe without bending down or using their hands, making getting ready quick and easy.
Can I put these trainers in the washing machine?
No, it is not recommended to machine wash these trainers. Machine washing can damage the materials, cushioning, and adhesives. Please follow the gentle hand-cleaning instructions provided in the 'Care Instructions' section.
What is the Heel Pillow®?
The exclusive Heel Pillow® is a comfortable, supportive feature built into the heel of the shoe. It helps to hold the foot securely in place and assists with the hands-free slip-in process.
Are these true to size for children?
Skechers generally runs true to size. However, it's always best to measure your child's foot and compare it to a Skechers sizing chart, as foot shapes can vary. There are no half sizes for kids in this particular model.
How do the stretch laces work if they don't need tying?
The stretch laces are integrated with an adaptive closure system. They provide flexibility for a snug fit without needing to be tied or untied. This offers the look of laces with the convenience of a slip-on.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too loose or tight.
While these shoes feature an adaptive closure, fit can vary. Double-check the size against your child's current shoe size. Ensure the foot is properly seated against the Heel Pillow®.
Difficulty using the slip-ins feature.
Ensure the child is standing straight and slides their foot in with a slight forward motion. The Heel Pillow® is designed to assist the foot in, but a smooth motion helps. Avoid pushing the heel down manually.
Unpleasant odor develops.
The Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole is breathable, but active feet can still cause odor. Remove insoles if possible for airing out, or use a shoe deodorizer. Ensure shoes are thoroughly dried after exposure to moisture.
Visible dirt or scuffs on the mesh/synthetic upper.
Clean promptly with a mild soap and damp cloth, then air dry. Regular cleaning prevents dirt from setting in and prolongs the shoe's appearance.
