Yes, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 1970s trainers are designed as unisex footwear.
The 1970s edition features heavier canvas, higher rubber foxing, and a slightly different aesthetic to mirror the original designs from that era.
It is not recommended, as machine washing can damage the adhesive and the canvas material. Hand cleaning is the safest method.
The upper is constructed from durable cotton canvas.
Yes, new canvas shoes typically require a short period of regular wear to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort.
Gently scrub with a soft-bristle brush and a mixture of water and gentle detergent; air dry away from heat sources.
Use a specialized rubber cleaner or a mixture of baking soda and water to gently buff the sidewalls.
Wipe the soles with a damp cloth to remove buildup or grit that may be reducing traction.
To ensure your Converse 1970s remain in top condition, avoid machine washing. Instead, spot clean the cotton canvas with a mild soap, water, and a soft brush. If the laces become soiled, remove them and soak in warm soapy water. For storage, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the black canvas over time. These shoes run true to size, but consider wearing medium-weight socks if you are between sizes to ensure a secure fit.
