No, the design allows you to leave the skull cap attached to the bivvy frame when packing it down.

What is the Hydrostatic Head rating?

The cover is made from high-performance fabric with a 10,000mm Hydrostatic Head rating.

Will it protect the front of my bivvy from heavy rain?

Troubleshooting

Material appears saggy after installation

Re-adjust the tensioning points around the bivvy ribs and ensure the cap is centered over the main center block.

Condensation is still forming inside

Ensure that the internal ventilation panels of the bivvy are open to allow airflow in addition to the protection provided by the skull cap.

Highly effective at reducing internal condensation
Can be left in place during breakdown for faster future setup

Requires proper tensioning for best weather protection

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This skull cap is designed specifically for the Trakker Tempest 100 Bivvy series. To install, ensure your bivvy is fully erected before attaching the cap over the top of the central block. Secure the attachment points firmly around the frame ribs to ensure the material is taut. For care, always ensure the fabric is completely dry before storing it in its carry bag to prevent mildew or long-term fabric degradation. If the cover becomes muddy, clean it with a soft brush and lukewarm water; avoid using harsh detergents or pressure washers, as these can damage the 10,000mm Hydrostatic Head coating.
