Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your leather waistcoat remains in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Storage: Hang the garment on a shaped wooden hanger to maintain the structure of the shoulders and torso. Avoid using thin wire hangers.
- Cleaning: Do not wash in a machine. Wipe light dust away with a dry, soft cloth. For stubborn marks, use a professional leather cleaner designed for garments.
- Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner every six months to prevent the material from drying out or cracking.
- Moisture: If the leather becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as extreme heat will cause the hide to warp or shrink.
