Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Football boots require minimal 'setup'. The key is ensuring a proper fit from the start.
- Try On: Always try on both boots with the type of socks you typically wear for football.
- Lacing: Lace them up securely, but not so tight that they cause discomfort or restrict circulation.
- Break-In Period: Most new boots benefit from a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before high-intensity matches to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are designed for Firm Ground (FG). This means natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or indoor surfaces (IC) may lead to premature wear or provide suboptimal traction.
- Player Type: Ideal for players who value speed, agility, and precision in their game.
- Gender/Age: Adult male players (based on listed attributes), but can be worn by anyone fitting a UK size 4.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the lifespan and maintains the performance of your football boots.
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, knock off loose dirt and mud. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Remove Insole (Optional): If insoles are removable, take them out to air dry and prevent odor buildup.
- Air Dry: Do not dry boots near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight) as this can damage materials. Allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
- Stuff with Paper: To help maintain their shape and absorb moisture, stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels after cleaning.
- Store Properly: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Avoid Washing Machine: Never put football boots in a washing machine, as this can severely damage the materials and adhesives.
