FAQs
Can I put these mats in the dryer?
It is best to air dry these mats to avoid damaging the rubber backing with excessive heat.
What is included in the set?
The set includes one rectangular bath mat and one U-shaped pedestal mat.
Are these mats safe for heated floors?
While generally compatible, avoid using mats with rubber backing on continuously high-heat flooring as it may cause the backing to degrade prematurely.
How often should I wash them?
Depending on usage, washing every 1-2 weeks is recommended to maintain hygiene and absorbency.
Will the color fade after washing?
Using a cold water wash with like colors will help maintain the vibrancy of the material over time.
Troubleshooting
Mat sliding on floor surface
Ensure the floor is completely clean and dry before placing the mat down, as debris or moisture can interfere with the rubber backing's grip.
Loss of absorbency
Wash the mats without fabric softener, as softeners can leave a film on microfiber that prevents it from absorbing water effectively.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High water absorbency
- Soft and comfortable texture
- Non-slip backing for safety
- Fast-drying microfiber material
- Easy machine-washable maintenance
Cons
- Rubber backing may degrade with high-heat drying
- Limited to two specific mat shapes
- Not intended for use on wet floors to prevent slipping
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the GC GAVENO CAVAILIA set is simple: place the larger rectangular mat in front of your bath or shower and position the pedestal mat around the base of your toilet. For care, ensure the floor is dry before laying the mats down to maximize the efficiency of the anti-slip layer. When washing, use a gentle cycle with mild detergent. To preserve the rubber backing, it is recommended to air dry the mats rather than using a high-heat tumble dry setting, as extreme heat can cause the rubber to become brittle or crack over time.
