Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Installing your furn. Dawn Blackout Thermal Eyelet Curtains is straightforward:
- Select a Curtain Rod: Ensure your curtain rod is compatible with eyelet curtains. Standard curtain rods are typically suitable. The rod diameter should be smaller than the eyelet rings to allow for smooth movement.
- Measure: Carefully measure your window width and height. These curtains are H:183.0 x W:117.0 cm (dimensions for one panel, as they usually come in a pair) and should extend beyond the window frame for optimal blackout and thermal performance.
- Thread the Curtains: Simply slide the eyelet rings of each curtain panel onto your chosen curtain rod.
- Hang: Place the rod onto its brackets above your window. Arrange the pleats evenly for a neat appearance.
Compatibility
These eyelet curtains are designed for compatibility with most standard curtain rods. Ensure your rod's diameter is appropriate for the eyelet size.
Care
The 100% Polyester fabric is known for its durability and ease of care:
- Cleaning: The material does not stain easily. For general cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth. For more thorough cleaning, consult the care label for specific washing instructions, typically a gentle machine wash or hand wash in cold water to preserve the thermal backing.
- Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if permitted by the care label. Avoid high heat as it can damage the thermal properties.
- Ironing: If creases occur, iron on a low temperature setting, preferably on the fabric side, avoiding direct heat on the thermal backing.
- Maintenance: Regularly dust or lightly vacuum the curtains to prevent dirt buildup.
