Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by unlacing the shoes sufficiently. Slide your foot in and adjust the tongue. Ensure your heel is comfortably seated at the back of the shoe.
- Adjusting Fit: Start lacing from the bottom, pulling gently to achieve a snug but not overly tight fit. Adjust the laces to prevent pressure points and ensure a secure feel across the top of your foot.
- Knotting: Tie a secure knot that will not easily come undone during your activity.
Compatibility
- Gait Type: The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41 is a neutral shoe. It is best suited for runners who have a neutral gait, meaning their foot lands evenly or with minimal inward/outward roll. It does not provide additional motion control for overpronation or supination.
- Running Surfaces: Ideal for road running, track work, and light, non-technical trails. The outsole provides good grip on these varied surfaces.
Care Instructions
To prolong the life and performance of your Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41:
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush (an old toothbrush works well) or a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, hand wash with mild soap (like dish soap or laundry detergent) and cold water. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Stuffing them with paper towels can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Do not use direct heat sources such as radiators, hair dryers, or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving them in extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Machine Washing: While tempting, machine washing can be too harsh on running shoes, potentially damaging the cushioning, adhesives, and upper materials.
