The adidas Powerlift 5 trainers are designed for serious weightlifters and gym enthusiasts who require a stable, high-performance foundation for compound movements. These trainers excel at providing the necessary support to maintain proper lifting form, though they are specialized footwear intended primarily for the weight room rather than for general cardio or running activities.

No, the Powerlift 5 is designed specifically for lifting. The stiff sole and construction are not designed for the impact of running.
Yes, many lifters prefer the flat, stable sole of the Powerlift 5 for deadlifts to ensure good floor contact and balance.
Use a soft brush to remove dirt and a damp cloth with mild soap for surface stains. Air dry away from direct heat.
The strap provides extra lockdown support, keeping your midfoot secure and preventing the foot from sliding inside the shoe during heavy lifts.
They generally fit true to size for athletic footwear, but because they are made for lifting, they have a more rigid, snug feel than casual trainers.
Re-tighten the laces starting from the bottom eyelets and ensure the hook-and-loop strap is pulled firmly across the bridge of your foot.
Ensure you are using the correct size; the shoe is designed to fit snug for lifting. If necessary, replace the factory insole with a thinner insert to increase volume.
To achieve the best fit, ensure the laces are tightened evenly before securing the midfoot strap; the strap should be snug but not so tight that it restricts circulation. These trainers are true to standard athletic sizing, though the rigid construction means they will not break in or stretch as much as a running shoe. To maintain the shoes, wipe them down with a damp cloth after training to remove gym chalk or debris. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat to prevent premature degradation of the high-density materials.
