FAQs

How do I clean my Galaxy Dim Out Pencil Pleat Curtains?

These curtains require professional dry cleaning only. Do not attempt to machine wash, hand wash, or tumble dry them.

Are these curtains blackout curtains?

No, they are 'dim-out' curtains. They are highly effective at reducing incoming light due to their triple-woven fabric, but they may not achieve 100% blackout.

Can I hang these curtains on both a pole and a track?

Yes, the 3-inch pencil pleat header is designed for versatile hanging, making them suitable for both curtain poles and curtain tracks.

Do these curtains help with insulation?

Yes, they feature a thermal layering that helps to prevent heat loss, contributing to better insulation during cooler months.

What material are these curtains made of?

The curtains are made from 100% Polyester.

Can I iron these curtains?

Yes, you can iron them on a low setting. It's always a good practice to test a small, inconspicuous area first.

Are other colors available?

Yes, the Fusion Galaxy range is available in several other colors such as Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red.

Troubleshooting

Curtains not dimming the room enough.

Ensure the curtains fully cover the window area with minimal gaps at the sides, top, and bottom. Slight light leakage can occur around the edges.

Curtains appear wrinkled after unpacking.

Carefully iron the curtains on a low setting. Always test on an inconspicuous area first to ensure fabric compatibility with the iron's heat.

Curtains seem to have lost their shape or texture after cleaning.

Verify that the cleaning method was strictly 'professional dry clean only'. Improper cleaning, such as machine washing, can damage the fabric and structure.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly effective at reducing natural light, suitable for bedrooms and sun-filled rooms.
Thermal layering helps prevent heat loss, offering energy efficiency.
Versatile 3-inch pencil pleat header for easy fitting on poles or tracks.
Sleek and classic semi-plain design suits various home decors.
Durable triple-woven 100% Polyester fabric.

Cons

Requires professional dry cleaning only, which can be less convenient than machine washing.
Cannot be tumble dried, requiring specific drying methods.
Ironing is required on a low setting for wrinkle removal.
Info needed: May not achieve complete blackout for all users, as they are 'dim-out' rather than 'blackout'.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup

These curtains are ready to hang. Simply attach the `3-inch pencil pleat header` to your chosen curtain hooks, which can then be used with either a curtain pole or a track system. Ensure your pole or track is securely installed and capable of holding the weight of the curtains.

Compatibility

Thanks to their versatile `pencil pleat header`, these curtains are compatible with most standard curtain poles and curtain tracks. No special fittings are typically required beyond standard curtain hooks.

Ironing: Iron on a low setting if needed to remove wrinkles. Avoid high heat.
Drying: Do not tumble dry. Allow to air dry naturally after professional cleaning.
