Climacool® is an adidas innovation designed to provide 360-degree ventilation around the foot. It uses specially engineered mesh, perforated materials, and breathable components to wick away heat and sweat, keeping your feet cool and dry.

While the Climacool 1 is adapted from an early 2000s adidas running *style* and offers comfortable cushioning, it is primarily designed as a lifestyle and casual wear sneaker. For dedicated running, adidas offers shoes with specialized technologies and support tailored for athletic performance.

For best results, gently clean the mesh and textile uppers with a soft brush or cloth using a mild soap and water solution. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry completely. Avoid machine washing or harsh cleaning agents.

The Climacool 1 generally features a regular fit, designed for comfortable everyday wear. The traditional lace closure allows for personalized adjustment to achieve your preferred tightness and secure feel.

The upper is constructed from breathable mesh with supporting TPU overlays. It features a textile lining, an adiPRENE® cushioned midsole for impact absorption, and a durable rubber outsole.

The excellent ventilation of the Climacool 1 is optimized for warm to mild conditions. Due to its breathable design, it may not provide sufficient insulation for very cold weather. They are best suited for climates where staying cool is a priority.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate moisture-wicking socks. Cotton socks can retain moisture. Also, ensure the shoe is not overly tight, as this can restrict airflow. In extremely hot and humid conditions, even advanced ventilation has limits.

This can sometimes be caused by friction between the insole/sockliner and the shoe's sole. Try removing and reinserting the sockliner. Sprinkling a small amount of baby powder or cornstarch underneath the sockliner can also help reduce friction.

Gently clean the affected area with a soft brush or damp cloth using a mild soap solution. Avoid aggressive scrubbing to prevent damaging the mesh or overlays. Always allow to air dry.

Clean the rubber outsole thoroughly to remove any embedded dirt, mud, or debris that might be reducing traction. If the tread pattern is significantly worn down, this indicates natural wear and tear over time.
