Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
No complex setup is required. Simply ensure your child wears appropriate socks to complement the wellies' fit and material. Thermal socks are recommended for colder weather, while thin cotton socks might be suitable for milder, wet days.
Compatibility
These wellies are designed for children and are compatible with various outdoor clothing, from rain trousers to splash suits. Ensure the top opening of the wellies fits comfortably around your child's leg, allowing for movement without causing discomfort or letting water in from the top.
Care Instructions
Keeping your Foxfire Wellies in top condition ensures their longevity and performance:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in mud, rinse the wellies thoroughly with clean water. A soft brush or cloth can help remove stubborn dirt. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the rubber.
- Drying: Allow the wellies to air dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, which can cause the rubber to crack over time. If the interior gets wet, you can stuff them loosely with newspaper to absorb moisture and aid drying.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, upright, to maintain their shape. Avoid folding or creasing the rubber.
- Glow Feature: To ensure the glow-in-the-dark feature works effectively, periodically expose the wellies to natural or artificial light to "charge" the luminescent material.
