Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper installation is crucial for safety and performance. When installing your EBC Redstuff pads, ensure the brake discs are clean and free of existing glazing or deep grooves. We recommend lightly scuffing the rotors or performing a fresh machine-turn if the surface is uneven.
After installation, you must perform a proper 'bedding-in' procedure. This involves a series of controlled stops from moderate speeds to transfer a thin, uniform layer of the pad material onto the rotor surface. Avoid heavy, abrupt braking during the first 200 miles to allow the pads to seat correctly against the discs. For long-term care, simply clean your wheels with standard automotive soap, as the brake dust is water-soluble and non-corrosive.
