Full details

The Luna Siesta Ottoman Storage Bed is designed for homeowners and apartment dwellers looking to maximize bedroom utility without sacrificing style. Its standout feature is the integrated gas-lift mechanism that provides 550 liters of discreet under-bed storage, making it an ideal solution for tucking away seasonal linens, spare pillows, or clothing. While the bed offers exceptional organizational benefits, users should note that the frame requires manual self-assembly, which can be time-intensive for those not accustomed to furniture construction.

FAQs

Does the mattress come included?

No, the Luna Siesta Ottoman Bed Frame is sold as a frame only.

What is the total storage capacity?

The bed features a generous 550L of storage space beneath the slatted frame.

Can I operate the gas-lift alone?

Yes, the pneumatic gas-lift mechanism is designed for one-handed or easy manual operation once a mattress is installed.

What size mattress do I need?

This model is designed for a 4Ft Small Double mattress.

How do I keep the storage area clean?

The bed comes with a specific cloth base cover that fits to the bottom of the frame to keep items dust-free.

Is the bed difficult to assemble?

It is designed for straightforward self-assembly, though we recommend two people to handle the larger metal frame components safely.

Troubleshooting

The bed frame is difficult to lift.

Ensure a mattress is placed on the frame; the hydraulic system is calibrated to require the weight of a mattress to operate smoothly.

The frame makes a squeaking sound.

Check all bolts to ensure they are fully tightened and ensure the mattress is correctly centered on the slats.

The storage base does not close flush.

Check that no items are protruding above the height of the frame edges and ensure the cloth base liner is not bunched up near the hinges.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Generous 550L internal storage space
Easy-access gas-lift hydraulic system
Included base liner protects contents from dust
Durable metal frame construction
Modern design fits various interior styles

Cons

Requires full self-assembly
Heavy components may require two people to build
Not suitable for those who prefer low-profile floor beds

Setup, Compatibility & Care

The bed is delivered flat-packed and is designed for straightforward self-assembly. We recommend having two people available to assist with the placement of the heavy frame components. Ensure you have adequate space in your room to lay out all parts before beginning construction. Regarding compatibility, the 4Ft Small Double size is designed to fit standard small double mattresses securely. To care for your Luna Siesta Ottoman, vacuum the fabric headboard regularly to prevent dust buildup, and periodically check the bolts and screws on the gas-lift mechanism after the first month of use to ensure they remain tightened. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the fabric upholstery; a damp cloth with mild soap is sufficient for spot cleaning.
