FAQs

Does the bed come with a mattress?

No, the FWStyle Sollom Ottoman is a frame-only product.

What is the headboard height?

The ribbed padded headboard measures 112.5cm in height.

Can I use any type of mattress?

The frame is compatible with most standard double mattresses, including pocket-sprung, memory foam, and hybrid types.

Is the storage area solid-bottomed?

Yes, the storage area features a base that keeps your items off the floor.

Do I need tools to assemble the bed?

Basic household tools, primarily a screwdriver, are required for the assembly process.

Troubleshooting

Gas lift mechanism is difficult to close

The mechanism is designed to operate best with the weight of a mattress on the frame. Ensure the mattress is installed before testing the lift.

Bed frame feels unstable or wobbly

Check all bolts and corner brackets to ensure they are fully tightened and the base is resting flat on the floor surface.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality soft-touch fabric finish
Effective space-saving underbed storage
Tall, visually striking headboard design
Reliable sprung slats for enhanced mattress longevity

Cons

Requires significant assembly time
Heavy components make moving the bed difficult once built
Requires two people for safe construction

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly should be performed in the room where the bed will reside, as the finished item is heavy and difficult to maneuver through doorways. Ensure you have a clear floor space and a screwdriver set. Compatibility-wise, this frame is designed for standard double mattresses. To care for the fabric, use a soft vacuum brush attachment to remove dust and a clean, slightly damp cloth for spot cleaning. Periodically check the gas pistons and bolts to ensure they remain tightened, as standard use can loosen fittings over time.
