FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

No, it is made of cotton, which provides comfort and breathability but is not intended for heavy rain exposure.

Should I wash the badge with the jacket?

No, it is highly recommended to remove the signature badge before washing to ensure it remains in pristine condition.

How do the sizes run?

This jacket typically follows standard adult sizing. Refer to the size guide for your specific measurements, keeping in mind the elasticated hem offers a structured fit.

Can the hood be removed entirely?

The hood is retractable, meaning it can be neatly tucked into the collar area, but it is typically permanently attached to the garment.

Is the jacket suitable for winter?

It is best used as a layering piece during transitional seasons. It does not contain heavy insulation for deep winter temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Zip slider is sticking

Ensure no fabric is caught in the track and clean the slider with a dry cloth; a tiny amount of graphite can help if the track is dry.

Badge buttons feel loose

The badge is attached via dedicated internal buttons; simply re-fasten the buttons if the patch shifts during wear.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your Stone Island jacket in peak condition, follow these care guidelines:

Cleaning: Always detach the signature badge before washing to prevent damage or fabric snagging.
Washing: Use a gentle cycle with cold water to maintain the structural integrity of the cotton and nylon components.
Drying: Air dry the jacket on a hanger to prevent unwanted creasing and to protect the elasticity of the hem.
Storage: Hang the garment in a cool, dry closet; avoid tight compression to prevent misshaping the nylon pocket flaps.
Ironing: Use low heat and cover the nylon pocket sections with a cloth to avoid melting synthetic materials.
