Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Gabor boots maintain their quality, follow these care steps:
- Initial Protection: Before the first wear, apply a suede-specific water and stain repellent spray to protect against light moisture.
- Cleaning: Use a specialized suede brush to remove loose dirt and revitalize the nap of the material. Do not use water to scrub stains.
- Storage: Keep the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the suede pigment over time.
- Compatibility: These boots are designed as a standard wide fit. If you typically wear orthotic inserts, ensure the standard insole is removable or that your orthotics fit within the specific wide-fit volume provided.
- Maintenance: If the boots get wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from radiators or heat sources, as high heat can shrink and harden the suede.
