FAQs

What type of steel are these electrodes suitable for?

These electrodes are designed for welding mild steel.

What amperage should I use?

The amperage depends on the metal thickness and the electrode diameter. Refer to welding charts for guidance.

How do I store the electrodes?

Store them in a dry place to prevent moisture absorption.

What safety equipment do I need?

You need a welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.

Can these electrodes be used outdoors?

Yes, but shield the welding area from wind to maintain a stable arc.

What causes the weld to crack?

Rapid cooling or stress in the weld. Check settings and preheat thick metal.

Why is slag difficult to remove?

Adjust your welding technique (angle and travel speed) or use the appropriate chipping hammer.

Troubleshooting

Weld porosity (bubbles in the weld).

Clean the metal surface thoroughly. Check for moisture in the electrode and store properly.

Difficulty starting the arc.

Ensure proper electrode contact with the metal and that the machine settings are correct.

Weak welds.

Check and adjust the amperage. Ensure good penetration.

Slag not removing easily.

Adjust welding technique and travel speed.
