FAQs

Can I use this on non-Foresta cladding?

No, this joiner is specifically designed to fit the profile and dimensions of the Foresta Wood Effect cladding range.

Does the joiner prevent water ingress?

It helps cover the joint and provide a cleaner aesthetic, but it should not be considered a substitute for proper underlying weatherproofing membranes.

What is the primary purpose of this piece?

Its primary purpose is to allow for a staggered, seamless joint between cladding boards to enhance the visual appeal of the installation.

Is this joiner UV resistant?

Yes, as part of the Durasid Foresta system, the material is treated to withstand standard exterior weather conditions.

How do I maintain the finish?

Clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soapy water as needed. Avoid high-pressure washers or abrasive chemicals.

Visible gap between boards

Ensure the joiner is fully seated and the boards are pushed firmly against the internal shoulder of the connector.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, ensure your cladding support battens are level. As you reach the end of one board, slide the `PSLBJI-96` joiner over the edge before fixing the adjacent board firmly against it. Always maintain a small expansion gap within the joint to allow for material movement due to temperature fluctuations. For maintenance, keep the joiner clean by rinsing it with water and a soft cloth during your routine cladding cleaning. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing brushes which could affect the wood-effect finish of the Quartz Grey surface.
