Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before hitting the trails, ensure you wear moisture-wicking hiking socks to complement the breathable nature of the Gore-Tex membrane. For long-term maintenance, remove excess dirt after each hike using a soft-bristled brush. If the shoes become muddy, hand-wash them with lukewarm water and a mild detergent; avoid soaking them for extended periods to protect the bonding agents. Never machine wash or machine dry the shoes, as excessive heat can degrade the Gore-Tex membrane and the midsole foam. Air dry them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or intense heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
