Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack the lights and ensure all components are present.
- Locate the solar panel. It is usually attached to the string or a separate stake.
- Position the solar panel in a location that receives direct sunlight for the majority of the day. Ensure the panel is not obstructed by trees, buildings, or other shadows.
- Switch the lights on using the power button on the solar panel unit (if applicable, some are automatic). There may be an 'ON/OFF' switch and sometimes a 'MODE' switch for different lighting effects.
- Drape the string of lights as desired around your chosen outdoor feature.
Compatibility:
These lights are designed for outdoor use and are powered solely by solar energy. They do not require any other power source or compatibility with electrical outlets.
Care:
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal charging. Avoid abrasive cleaners. The ladybird lights themselves can also be wiped gently.
- Maintenance: Check the solar panel and lights for any debris or damage. In winter or during prolonged periods of low sunlight, you may wish to store the lights indoors to protect them and preserve battery life.
