The Forgefix 25mm Panel Pins are an essential hardware solution for DIY enthusiasts and professional joiners focusing on lightweight and decorative timber projects. These pins are specifically engineered to secure thin materials like mouldings while minimizing the risk of splitting fragile or brittle wood surfaces. While they offer excellent versatility for finish work, users should note that they are designed for decorative applications rather than heavy-duty structural load-bearing projects.

No, these are intended for decorative trim and lightweight joinery, not for supporting structural loads.
A standard light-duty hammer or a pin pusher is sufficient for installation.
The quantity varies by pin weight, but the 250g pack provides a generous supply for multiple standard home projects.
Yes, once installed and countersunk, you can easily cover them with wood filler and paint or stain to match your project.
Ensure you are using a light finishing hammer and striking directly in the center; if the wood is very hard, pre-drill a tiny pilot hole.
Ensure you are not placing the pin too close to the edge of the board and verify that the pin size is appropriate for the thickness of the wood.
To ensure the longevity of your work, always store these pins in a dry environment to prevent oxidation, as they are composed of raw mild steel. When installing, align the moulding perfectly before the first tap, as these pins are thin and can bend if struck at an angle. For optimal compatibility, use these pins primarily with indoor timber mouldings and lightweight boards. Avoid using these in exterior environments unless they are countersunk and properly filled with a suitable wood filler or sealant to protect the steel from weather-related corrosion.
