While the leather is durable, it is not explicitly waterproof. It is recommended to use a protective leather spray to provide a water-resistant barrier against light rain.
Yes, if the existing insoles are removable, you can replace them with your preferred orthotic inserts for added support.
The sole can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or a soft brush to remove dirt and grit accumulated during daily wear.
Yes, Clarks uses high-quality leather to ensure the boots offer long-term durability and a premium aesthetic.
Generally, Clarks footwear follows standard sizing. If you have particularly wide feet or plan to wear thick socks, you may want to consider a half-size up.
Store them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Using wooden shoe trees helps absorb moisture and maintains the boot's structural shape.
Leather requires a break-in period; wear them for short durations indoors initially to allow the material to soften and adapt to your foot shape.
Use a leather conditioner or a matching black shoe polish to buff out minor scratches and restore the surface finish.
Double-knot the laces or consider replacing them with higher-friction cotton laces if the current ones feel slippery.
To ensure your Clarks Aldwin2 boots last, proper care is essential. Upon first use, ensure the laces are adjusted to your comfort level to avoid unnecessary strain on the leather eyelets. For maintenance, keep the leather supple by applying a neutral leather cream or wax periodically. If the boots become wet, air-dry them away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can cause the leather to become brittle and crack. Store your boots in a cool, dry place and use shoe trees if possible to help them maintain their shape when not in use.
