FAQs
What types of vehicles is the Kpatos FM518 suitable for?
The Kpatos FM518 is designed for a range of vehicles including passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs that require the specified tire size and load/speed rating.
How often should I check my tire pressure?
It is recommended to check your tire pressure at least once a month and before any long journeys to ensure optimal performance and safety.
What does the '99V' rating mean on the tire?
The '99' is the load index, indicating the maximum weight the tire can carry. 'V' is the speed rating, indicating the maximum speed at which the tire can safely carry a load.
How long do Kpatos tires typically last?
Tire lifespan varies based on driving habits, road conditions, and maintenance. Regular maintenance like proper inflation, rotation, and alignment will help maximize tread life.
Where can I find the correct tire pressure for my vehicle?
The recommended tire pressure for your vehicle can typically be found on a sticker located on the driver's side doorjamb, in the glove compartment, or in your vehicle's owner's manual.
Is this tire suitable for all weather conditions?
The Kpatos FM518 is designed for general driving conditions and offers balanced performance. For extreme weather, specific winter or summer tires may be more appropriate.
Troubleshooting
Uneven tire wear
Check wheel alignment and tire pressure. Rotate tires regularly and ensure proper balancing.
Tire vibration or shaking
Ensure tires are properly balanced. Check for any damage or deformities on the tire sidewall or tread.
Reduced fuel efficiency
Verify that tire pressure is at the recommended level. Significant underinflation can increase rolling resistance.
Poor traction in wet conditions
Inspect tread depth for sufficient grooves. Ensure tires are inflated to the correct pressure and consider if driving conditions exceed the tire's optimal performance range.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: This tire is specifically designed for vehicles requiring the 235/50 R19 size with a 99V load and speed index. Always consult your vehicle's owner's manual or the sticker on the driver's side doorjamb to confirm the correct tire size and specifications.
Setup: Installation should be performed by a qualified tire professional. This includes mounting the tire onto the wheel, inflating it to the manufacturer's recommended pressure (found in your vehicle's manual), and balancing the wheel assembly. Ensure all lug nuts are torqued to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
Care: To maximize the lifespan and performance of your Kpatos FM518 tires:
- Regular Inspection: Check tire pressure monthly and before long trips. Maintain pressure according to your vehicle's recommendations.
- Tire Rotation: Rotate your tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles to ensure even wear.
- Wheel Alignment: Have your wheel alignment checked periodically, especially if you notice uneven tire wear or the vehicle pulling to one side.
- Cleaning: Clean tires with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or petroleum-based cleaners, which can damage the rubber.
