FAQs

What surfaces can I apply this paint to?

This paint is suitable for interior walls and ceilings. Ensure the surface is properly prepared before application.

What kind of finish does this paint offer?

It provides a classic matt finish with a soft, velvety texture.

Can I use this paint in a bathroom or kitchen?

While it's water-based, ensure adequate ventilation and consider the level of moisture exposure in these areas. It is best suited for rooms with lower humidity levels.

How many coats of paint are needed?

The number of coats depends on the desired effect and the base coat. Typically, two coats are recommended for optimal results, especially when aiming for a wash effect.

How do I create the wash effect?

Apply the Pink Clay chalk wash over a contrasting chalky emulsion base coat. This will create a textured, layered look.

What is the coverage of a 750ml pot?

Coverage will vary based on application technique and surface porosity, but generally, a 750ml pot provides enough paint to cover a significant area. Check the product label for specific details.

How long does it take for the paint to dry?

Drying times can vary depending on environmental conditions, but generally, allow for several hours between coats. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions on the paint pot for specific drying times.

What tools are recommended for application?

A brush is a good option. Consider experimenting with other techniques for unique results.

Troubleshooting

Uneven Texture

Ensure consistent application technique. Apply the paint evenly across the surface, and avoid overworking the paint. Experiment with different brush strokes or application methods to achieve the desired effect.

Color Not as Expected

The final color can be affected by the base coat and lighting conditions. Always test the paint in an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface. Ensure the base coat is fully dry before applying the Pink Clay.

Poor Coverage

Ensure you're applying a sufficient amount of paint. Multiple thin coats usually provide better coverage than one thick coat. Make sure you are using a good quality brush or the recommended application tools.

Paint is too Thick

If the paint seems too thick, you can lightly thin it with water, but be cautious not to dilute it too much. Stir the paint well before application to ensure consistency.
