FAQs
Can I use this system with leadcore?
Yes, the tapered top section is designed to accommodate rig tubing and similar leader materials.
What is the primary benefit of the dark camo finish?
The translucent dark camo helps the end tackle blend into the lakebed, making it less visible to cautious carp.
How many sets are included in a pack?
Each pack contains six complete sets of the Run Ring System.
Is this system safe for fish?
Yes, it is designed to release the lead in the event of a line breakage, ensuring the fish is not tethered to the weight.
What happens if I use a lead heavier than 3oz in the semi-fixed mode?
The release mechanism may not function as intended, potentially preventing the lead from dropping during a line breakage.
Troubleshooting
The ring is not sliding freely in the free-running setup
Check that the running sleeve is fully covering the bead ribs and that there is no silt buildup inside the ring.
The setup is tangling during the cast
Ensure the silicone sleeve is properly positioned over the weight link and that the hooklink is not too long.
The lead release is inconsistent
Verify that you are using a lead weight of 3oz or less when configured as a semi-fixed rig.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the system, thread your mainline through the Run Ring, then attach your chosen swivel and rig. If using as a semi-fixed rig, push the ring onto the ribs of the bead. For free-running, slide the sleeve over those same ribs.
- Compatibility: Compatible with most standard swivels and rig tubing diameters.
- Care: Periodically check the silicone sleeve for signs of wear or splitting after hard casting. Ensure the bead is clear of debris or grit to maintain smooth rotation. If the system becomes stiff, rinse it in clean water and ensure the internal alignment is free from silt.
