Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last for seasons to come, follow these guidelines:
- Fitting: Adjust the straps so that your heel sits deeply in the heel cup without hitting the back rim.
- Break-in: Wear them for short intervals (1-2 hours) initially to allow your feet to adapt to the arch support.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather upper with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Use a specialized leather cleaner for stubborn marks.
- Storage: Keep away from direct heat sources like radiators, as extreme heat can cause the cork footbed to crack or the leather to dry out.
