Product Information

Full details

The Karen Millen Studded Argyle Knitted Top is designed for the style-conscious individual seeking a sophisticated layering piece that bridges the gap between classic academic aesthetics and modern luxury. Its primary benefit lies in the elevated design, which pairs a traditional argyle pattern with subtle gold-tone stud embellishments for a polished, high-end look. A primary caveat to keep in mind is that the wool-blend fabric requires gentle handling and specific laundry care to maintain its textured surface and overall shape over time.

FAQs

Can I wash this in a standard washing machine?

No. Machine washing, even on a delicate cycle, can damage the gold studs and cause the wool fibers to felt or shrink.

What does the M size measurement generally correspond to?

This is a standard generic medium fit designed to provide a comfortable, semi-structured silhouette.

Are the studs made of real gold?

The studs are gold-tone embellishments, chosen for their aesthetic appearance and durability.

Is the wool material itchy?

The garment is crafted from a wool blend designed for comfort and softness; however, those with sensitive skin should wear a thin layer underneath.

Does the vest have any stretch?

Yes, the knit construction allows for natural elasticity, providing a flexible fit while maintaining its structured shape.

Troubleshooting

Stud embellishment appears loose or catches on other fabrics

Check the reverse side for any loose threading. If a stud feels unstable, avoid wearing it with delicate silk or loose-weave garments to prevent snagging.

Light pilling on the wool surface after wear

Gently use a fabric shaver or a specialized wool comb to remove pills, moving in the direction of the knit to maintain the surface integrity.

The knit feels slightly tight at the armholes

Ensure the shirt worn underneath is a thin, breathable fabric. If discomfort persists, check that the garment is positioned correctly on the shoulders.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Karen Millen piece lasts for years, follow these care guidelines:

Cleaning: Due to the wool-blend material and the delicate nature of the studs, professional dry cleaning is recommended. If hand washing is necessary, use a mild wool-safe detergent in cool water.
Drying: Never wring the vest. Lay it flat on a clean towel to dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent shrinkage or discoloration of the gold studs.
Storage: Fold the vest neatly; do not store it on a hanger, as the weight of the knit can stretch the shoulder structure over time.
Styling Compatibility: This M-sized vest is designed for a standard fit. It is most compatible with slim-fit shirts, blouses, or lightweight turtlenecks.
