Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires standard carpentry tools, including a fine-toothed saw for trimming the 5-meter lengths and appropriate stainless-steel fixings to prevent corrosion. It is critical to leave a small expansion gap at the ends of the boards to accommodate thermal movement, a standard practice for PVC-U cladding. For care, avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals which could damage the finish. A simple wash down with a soft cloth and mild soapy water once or twice a year is sufficient to remove surface dirt and maintain the vibrant Colonial Blue color. Always refer to the manufacturer's installation guidelines to ensure that the backing structure is ventilated properly, as air circulation is vital for the longevity of any exterior cladding system.
