FAQs

What are the exact dimensions of the desk?

The desk measures approximately H: 75 cm, W: 120 cm, and D: 59 cm. The specific dimensions for each section in the L-shape configuration can be found in the product manual.

Can the L-shape be configured on either the left or right side?

Yes, the L-shaped design is usually reversible, allowing you to configure it to fit your specific corner or space needs. Please refer to the assembly manual for specific orientation instructions.

How much weight can each shelf support?

The product information does not specify exact weight limits per shelf, but the construction is described as sturdy and designed to support computers, laptops, and office accessories for long-term use.

What tools are required for assembly?

The desk is designed for easy assembly and typically comes with all necessary hardware. You may need a screwdriver (usually Phillips head) and potentially a small hammer for some fittings, but no specialized tools are generally required.

How do I clean the melamine finish?

Clean the melamine surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. Wipe up spills promptly.

What other colours are available for the Longton Computer Desk?

Besides Black, the Vida Designs Longton Computer Desk is available in White, Grey, Pine, and Walnut finishes.

Is the desk suitable for gaming setups?

While the desk provides a sturdy workspace, the 120cm width and 59cm depth might be limiting for extensive gaming setups that include multiple large monitors, a high-performance PC tower, and various peripherals. It is more suited for general office work or moderate gaming setups.

Troubleshooting

Desk wobbles after assembly

Ensure all screws and bolts are fully tightened. If the floor is uneven, consider using small shims under the desk legs for stability.

Drawer or door does not close properly

Check that the runners or hinges are correctly aligned and free of obstruction. Re-adjust the hinge or runner if necessary following the manual's diagrams.

Missing hardware or parts

Carefully check all packaging materials. If parts are still missing, contact the retailer or manufacturer with your order details and a list of the missing items.

Surface appears scratched or damaged

Inspect the packaging for damage incurred during transit. For minor surface scratches, a melamine repair pen might be an option. For significant damage, contact customer support.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack all components and hardware, checking against the provided instruction manual.
Identify each part and prepare the assembly area. A soft surface like a rug or blanket is recommended to prevent scratches.
