FAQs
How do I activate the hands-free opening?
Simply wave your hand within a few inches of the sensor located on the lid. The lid will then automatically open.
What type and how many batteries are required?
The bin requires 4 x AA batteries. These are not included with the product.
How do I clean the sensor mechanism?
Gently wipe the sensor lens with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging the lid in water.
What is the capacity of this bin?
This bin has a large capacity of 50 litres.
Does the bin come with a warranty?
Yes, the product comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer's guarantee, with an additional 2-year extension available upon product registration online.
Can I use any type of bin liner?
It is recommended to use 50L bin liners. The integrated retaining ring helps to keep the liner securely in place.
Is the Forest Green colour prone to fading?
The hard-wearing body is designed for durability. Regular cleaning with mild solutions should maintain its colour. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight which can degrade any material over time.
Troubleshooting
Bin lid does not open automatically
Check that the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient power. Ensure the sensor area is clean and free from obstructions. Move the bin away from direct sunlight or strong artificial light sources that might interfere with the sensor.
Sensor is too sensitive or opens randomly
Ensure the bin is not placed in a high-traffic area where it could be accidentally triggered. Clean the sensor lens gently with a dry cloth. Check that no objects are placed directly in front of the sensor.
Bin liner is difficult to fit or slips
Ensure you are using a liner of adequate size for a 50L bin. Spread the liner fully over the retaining ring, ensuring it is taut before closing the lid.
Body of the bin is stained or difficult to clean
Use a mild detergent solution with a soft cloth. For persistent stains, allow the solution to sit for a minute before wiping. Rinse with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Open the battery compartment, usually located on the underside or back of the lid.
- Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

Compatibility:

Care:
- Body: Wipe the exterior and interior with a soft, damp cloth. Mild soap can be used for tougher marks, followed by a rinse with a clean damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface.
