Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Hotter Gravity II Trainers are ready for immediate use. To ensure optimal comfort and fit:
- Fully loosen the laces before slipping your foot into the trainer.
- Adjust the laces to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit. Ensure they are not too tight, which can restrict circulation, or too loose, which can cause friction.
- Walk a few steps to confirm the fit and make any final adjustments.
Compatibility
- Width: These trainers are designed with a Wide width fitting, making them suitable for individuals who require extra room or have broader feet.
- Orthotics: Thanks to their removable insoles, the Hotter Gravity II Trainers are compatible with most custom orthotics or specialized insoles, allowing you to personalize your foot support.
Care
The Hotter Gravity II Trainers feature a material mixed upper, which includes both Leather and Suede components. Proper and consistent care is essential to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan:
- General Cleaning: For general dirt and dust on leather sections, gently wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Suede Care: For suede areas, use a soft brush specifically designed for suede to gently remove surface dirt and restore the nap. Always brush in one direction. Avoid excessive moisture on suede, as it can stain.
- Stain Treatment: For stubborn marks, use a footwear cleaner formulated for multi-material shoes. Always test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't cause discoloration.
- Drying: If your trainers become wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (like radiators) or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink.
- Odour Control: To keep your trainers fresh, allow them to air out after each wear. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside overnight (and then vacuum it out) to absorb odors.
- Insole Care: The removable insoles can be aired out regularly. If they require cleaning, gently hand-wash them with mild soap and water, then air dry completely before returning them to the trainers.
