Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: The Diverge 4 Comp Carbon typically comes partially assembled. Professional assembly by a qualified bike mechanic is recommended to ensure all components are installed correctly and safely, especially the hydraulic disc brakes and electronic drivetrain. Refer to the SRAM AXS app for initial drivetrain pairing and customization.
Compatibility:
- Tyres: Compatible with tyres up to 50mm wide on 700c wheels.
- Drivetrain: Features a SRAM Apex AXS 12-speed electronic groupset. Ensure any replacement components are SRAM AXS compatible.
- Bottom Bracket: Uses a standard threaded bottom bracket for ease of servicing.
- Brakes: Hydraulic disc brakes are standard; ensure compatible brake rotors and pads are used for maintenance.
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean the frame and components regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washing, especially near bearings and the Future Shock unit. Dry thoroughly.
- Drivetrain Maintenance: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Periodically check the SRAM AXS battery levels and perform firmware updates via the app. Consult SRAM documentation for electronic shifting troubleshooting.
- Future Shock: Follow Specialized's guidelines for servicing or adjusting the Future Shock unit. Periodically check its function and listen for unusual noises.
- Storage: Utilize the integrated SWAT storage for essentials. Ensure the door seals properly to protect contents from dust and moisture.
