FAQs

Are these trainers suitable for running marathons?

The Cloud 6 Push trainers are designed for everyday comfort and casual wear, not for long-distance or competitive running. For marathon training or racing, ON Running offers specialized running shoe models.

How do I determine the correct UK size?

Refer to the ON Running size guide available on their official website. It typically includes a foot measurement chart to help you find the best fit for your UK size.

Can I machine wash these trainers?

It is not recommended to machine wash these trainers. Cleaning with a damp cloth and soft brush is the preferred method to preserve the materials and structure.

What is the main difference between Cloud 6 and other ON Running models?

The Cloud 6 is primarily focused on combining modern aesthetics with all-day casual comfort and versatility, featuring a balance of cushioning and a stylish design suitable for life on the move, rather than specialized performance.

How durable is the Helion superfoam?

Helion superfoam is engineered for durability and performance, offering excellent cushioning and energy return. However, like all cushioning materials, its properties will naturally evolve with prolonged and intense use.

Are these trainers waterproof?

The engineered mesh upper offers breathability but is not waterproof. They are designed for dry or mildly damp conditions, not for heavy rain or wet environments.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel too tight or uncomfortable

Adjust the flat lacing system to distribute pressure more evenly. Ensure you have selected the correct size using the ON Running size guide.

Reduced cushioning or responsiveness over time

While designed for comfort, cushioning may naturally decrease with extensive use. Regular cleaning can help maintain performance. Consider if the shoes have reached the end of their intended lifespan for optimal comfort.

Mesh upper showing signs of wear

Avoid abrasive cleaning methods. Gently brush away dirt and debris. For minor scuffs, a damp cloth may suffice. For significant damage, consult with customer support.

Slipping during activity

Ensure laces are tied securely. The outsole is designed for general traction; for specialized sports requiring intense grip, these trainers may not be optimal.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional all-day comfort due to superior cushioning.
  • Lightweight construction reduces fatigue during extended wear.
  • Breathable mesh upper keeps feet cool and dry.
  • Versatile design suitable for walking, gym, and casual wear.
  • Secure fit thanks to the flat lacing system.

Cons

  • May not provide sufficient support for high-impact or specialized athletic training.
  • The casual focus means they are less suited for rugged outdoor terrain.
  • Durability for extremely frequent or intense use may vary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The ON Running Cloud 6 trainers require no specific setup. Simply try them on to ensure a comfortable fit. The flat laces can be adjusted to your preference for a secure lockdown.

Compatibility: These trainers are designed as casual shoes, compatible with a wide range of everyday and athleisure attire. They are suitable for walking, gym workouts, and general daily wear.

Care: To maintain the quality and appearance of your Cloud 6 trainers:

  1. Cleaning Uppers: Use a soft brush or damp cloth to gently remove dirt and dust from the engineered mesh. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Cleaning Midsole/Outsole: Wipe down the foam and rubber elements with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used sparingly.
  3. Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage the materials.
  4. Laces: Remove laces for separate cleaning if needed, washing them by hand or in a mesh bag in the washing machine.
  5. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably in a shoe bag to protect them from dust.
