Product Information

Full details

This Homescapes Super King Duvet Cover is designed for those seeking hotel-quality luxury at home. Its key benefit is the ultra-soft, thick, and durable feel derived from 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton, offering a cozy and cool sleeping experience. A minor caveat is that the crispness may require a few washes to achieve peak softness, though it improves with each cycle. This set includes one super king duvet cover (220 x 260 cm) and two housewife pillowcases, all in a classic white color.

FAQs

What size is this duvet cover set?

This is a super king size set, including one duvet cover measuring 220 x 260 cm and two housewife pillowcases.

What material is the duvet cover made from?

It is made from 100% high-quality Egyptian cotton with a 1000 thread count, woven using single ply (40s) super combed yarn in a plain sateen weave.

How do I wash and care for this bedding?

Machine wash at a cool temperature (30-40°C) with a mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. It becomes softer with each wash.

Does the bedding come in other colors or sizes?

Yes, this range is available in several other colors including Blue, Grey, Cream, and Beige, and in Single, Double, and King sizes.

What does '1000 thread count' mean?

It signifies that there are one thousand threads woven into a single square inch of fabric, indicating a dense, smooth, and luxurious material.

Is the product certified?

Yes, it is OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for human use.

Troubleshooting

Duvet cover feels too stiff or crisp.

This is normal for high-quality, tightly woven cotton. Wash the duvet cover with a mild detergent on a cool cycle. The fabric will become significantly softer with subsequent washes.

Color fading after washing.

Ensure you are washing in cool water and using a detergent suitable for colored fabrics. Avoid overloading the washing machine. For white, use a detergent recommended for whites and avoid washing with dark items.

Pilling or wear on the fabric.

Check for any abrasive materials in the wash. Avoid using fabric softeners, which can degrade cotton fibers over time. Ensure the garment is washed and dried according to care instructions, preferably on a gentle cycle.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional softness and comfort due to high thread count Egyptian cotton.
  • Durable construction designed for long-term use.
  • Hypoallergenic properties suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Improves in softness with each wash.
  • Achieves a luxurious, hotel-quality feel.

Cons

  • May feel crisp initially before softening through washing.
  • Requires specific care to maintain fabric integrity.
  • Higher initial investment compared to lower thread count options.
