Setup & Initial Use
Upon first wearing your ASICS Gel-Resolution footwear, ensure you lace them snugly but comfortably, securing your foot without pinching. Take a few steps or walk for a short period to allow the shoe materials to begin conforming to your foot shape. A brief break-in period, perhaps over a few light training sessions, is recommended. This helps the shoe's cushioning and upper materials adapt to your unique stride and foot mechanics before engaging in full-intensity play.
Compatibility
These shoes are primarily engineered for racquet sports including tennis, pickleball, squash, and badminton, where the demands for lateral stability, exceptional grip, and responsive cushioning are paramount. While they can provide comfort for general athletic training, their specialized features are best utilized on dedicated court surfaces, offering optimal performance where it's most needed.
Care & Maintenance
To maximize the lifespan and maintain the performance of your ASICS Gel-Resolution shoes:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any loose dirt or clay from the outsole using a soft brush. For the upper and interior, gently wipe with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap if necessary. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Always allow your shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, which can cause materials to crack, shrink, or lose their structural integrity.
- Storage: Store your footwear in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain the shoe's original shape.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and allow them to air out separately. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the shoes overnight to absorb moisture and neutralize smells.
