Armaflex Class O pipe insulation is designed for contractors and homeowners looking to insulate hot and cold water pipes, refrigeration lines, and ductwork. The primary benefit of this flexible, closed-cell elastomeric nitrile rubber is its ability to effectively control condensation and prevent frost while improving energy efficiency. While highly durable and easy to apply, users should note that as a 2-meter length product, precise cutting is required to ensure airtight joints during installation.

Yes, it provides frost protection, but it should be protected from direct, prolonged UV exposure which can degrade the rubber over time.
A sharp, thin-bladed knife for cutting and an appropriate Armaflex adhesive for sealing seams.
No, this material is designed for standard hot and cold water and refrigeration lines. Always check the temperature rating against your specific pipe system.
Cut the ends square, apply adhesive to both surfaces, allow the adhesive to become tacky, and press the ends together firmly.
It has a Class 1 fire performance rating, meaning it is resistant to flame spread and highly suitable for building regulations.
Ensure the pipe diameter matches the 28mm internal bore. If the gap is small, seal the seams firmly with recommended contact adhesive.
This indicates an improper seal. Re-apply adhesive to the butt joints and ensure the insulation is firmly compressed against the pipe.
For installation, measure your pipe diameter carefully to ensure a snug fit. While the 28mm internal diameter is standard, ensure your pipe is free of debris before sliding the insulation over it. Use a sharp, thin-bladed knife to cut the material to length, ensuring perfectly square ends for butt joints. To maintain performance, all longitudinal and butt joints should be sealed with appropriate Armaflex adhesive to prevent air gaps. To clean, use a damp cloth to wipe the surface; the material is generally maintenance-free once properly installed and sealed.
