Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Tor Summit FLD hiking shoes, follow these recommendations:
- Breaking In: Wear the shoes for short intervals around the house or on light walks before embarking on extended hikes to allow the suede to soften.
- Lacing: Utilize the metal eyelets to achieve a custom tension across the midfoot. Ensure the tongue is centered before tightening to prevent irritation.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and dust from the suede surface. Avoid soaking the shoes in water; for stubborn stains, use a specialized suede cleaner.
- Storage: Keep your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the cushioning and dry out the suede material.
