FAQs
Are these gloves waterproof?
No, the Knox Action Pro gloves are designed for high breathability and comfort and are not waterproof.
Can I wash these in a machine?
Machine washing is not recommended as it may damage the Micro-Lock armor; please hand-wash only.
What is the Scaphoid Protection System?
It is a patented Knox technology that adds sliders to the palm to prevent the hand from grabbing the road during a slide, which helps prevent scaphoid bone fractures.
Is the knuckle armor removable?
The Micro-Lock armor is integrated into the design for consistent placement and safety and is not designed to be removed.
Do these gloves run true to size?
They generally follow standard sizing; however, always refer to the specific brand size chart as fit can vary based on personal preference for tightness.
Troubleshooting
Touchscreen responsiveness is inconsistent
Ensure the conductive patch on the fingertip is clean and making direct, firm contact with the screen. Screen protectors on devices may also reduce sensitivity.
Wrist closure strap is losing adhesion
Clean the Velcro hooks with a small brush or tweezers to remove collected debris or threads that prevent the hook-and-loop from locking securely.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Patented Scaphoid Protection System for added palm safety
- Breathable, lightweight construction for all-day comfort
- Soft-shell design allows for excellent dexterity
- Touchscreen-enabled fingertips for modern convenience
- Sustainable fabric materials
Cons
- Not intended for heavy-duty thermal insulation in winter
- Low-profile design may feel less substantial than leather gauntlets
- Primarily designed for off-road and urban commuting
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance, verify your sizing against the Knox fit chart before your first ride, as the gloves should feel snug but not restrictive. For care, it is recommended to hand-wash the gloves in cool water with a mild detergent to preserve the integrity of the impact protectors and the stretch fabric. Allow them to air dry away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or direct sunlight, which could degrade the materials. The Velcro closure should be kept free of debris like lint or dirt to maintain its stickiness over time. While these gloves are compatible with most standard motorcycle and E-Bike grips, the thin profile may provide less vibration dampening than thicker, padded alternatives.
