Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Herringbone Keswick Stair Runner is supplied in two panels (either 300cm or 350cm each) to achieve total lengths of 600cm, 650cm, or 700cm. For the best aesthetic and a truly seamless finish, especially when joining panels, professional installation is highly recommended. A skilled fitter can precisely align patterns and securely fasten the runner to prevent movement. Before installation, unroll the panels and allow them to acclimate to your room's temperature and humidity for at least 24 hours to relax any creases.
Compatibility
This stair runner's neutral cream flecked base and classic herringbone design offer broad compatibility with diverse interior aesthetics, from traditional to modern and transitional styles. Its approximately 8mm thickness is low-profile, fitting well on most standard staircases without creating an obstruction or interfering with door clearances. It is specifically designed for indoor residential use, enhancing the safety and style of your home's central pathway.
Care
To ensure your stair runner remains beautiful and functional for years:
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly using a brush attachment to remove dust, dirt, and debris. This is crucial for maintaining the polypropylene's appearance and preventing grime buildup.
- Immediate Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot them immediately with a clean, dry, white cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing, which can spread the stain. For tougher spots, use a mild carpet cleaner specifically formulated for synthetic fibers, testing it first on an inconspicuous area.
- Professional Cleaning: For a thorough refresh and to address embedded dirt, consider professional carpet cleaning services periodically.
- Edge Maintenance: The 100% pure wool edge is durable. Clean it gently with a damp cloth if needed, avoiding harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
