Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including transport bolts from the rear of the machine. Keep the user manual accessible.
- Placement: Position the washing machine on a firm, level surface. Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the machine is perfectly stable to prevent excessive vibration during operation.
- Water Connections: Connect the hot and cold water inlet hoses securely to the corresponding taps and to the machine's inlet valves. Ensure rubber seals are in place to prevent leaks.
- Drainage: Securely attach the drain hose to a standpipe or sink, ensuring it is at the correct height as specified in your user manual to prevent siphoning or inadequate drainage.
- Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- First Use: Run an empty cycle with a small amount of detergent to clean the drum and remove any manufacturing residues.
Compatibility
This washing machine is compatible with standard household plumbing (hot and cold water supply) and electrical outlets (check your local voltage requirements, typically 220-240V). Always use high-efficiency (HE) detergent formulated for front-load washing machines to prevent oversudsing and ensure optimal performance.
Care
- Detergent Drawer: Regularly clean the detergent drawer to prevent buildup of detergent and fabric softener residue, which can lead to blockages and odors.
- Door Seal: After each wash, wipe the rubber door seal with a damp cloth to remove moisture, lint, and detergent residue. Leave the door slightly ajar between washes to allow air circulation and prevent mildew.
- Drum Cleaning: Use the dedicated 'Drum Clean' or 'Self Clean' cycle (if available) periodically to sanitize the inner drum and remove bacteria and odors. This is typically recommended every 40 washes.
- Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Filter Maintenance: Periodically check and clean the debris filter (usually located at the bottom front of the machine) to remove lint, coins, or other small objects that could impede drainage.
