Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Unpacking and Handling:
- Careful Unpackaging: Gently remove the dress from its packaging, being mindful of the delicate embellishments. Avoid pulling or tugging.
- Immediate Hanging: Hang the dress immediately on a padded hanger to allow any creases to relax. Choose a location where it won't be crushed or snagged.
- Steam Only: If needed, use a garment steamer on a low setting and from a safe distance. Do NOT iron directly on the embellished or delicate areas.
Compatibility & Styling:
- Jewellery: Complement the dress’s intricate detailing with simple pearl or crystal jewellery. Avoid overly large or ornate pieces that might compete with the dress.
- Hair Style: A sleek updo or half-up hairstyle is recommended to showcase the elegant strappy neckline and the dress's upper detailing.
- Veil: A cathedral-length veil is an ideal choice to enhance the drama of the floor-sweeping train during the ceremony.
- Undergarments: Choose seamless, supportive undergarments that provide a smooth silhouette without visible lines, given the figure-enhancing design.
Care and Maintenance:
- Handling: Always handle the dress with clean hands, ideally wearing white cotton gloves, especially when adjusting or moving it, to protect against oils and dirt.
- Storage: Store the dress in a breathable garment bag in a cool, dry, dark place, away from direct sunlight or humidity, to preserve its fabric and embellishments.
- Cleaning: Due to the hand-embellished details and delicate fabric, professional bridal gown cleaning is highly recommended. Discuss cleaning options with a specialist before and after wear.
- Preventing Snags: Be cautious around sharp objects, rough surfaces, and tight spaces to prevent snagging the delicate beadwork and fabric. During movement, consider having a trusted person help manage the train.
