FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
It is recommended to clean them by hand using a damp cloth and mild soap to maintain the longevity of the materials.
Does the Cloudleap provide arch support?
Yes, the CloudTec Phase midsole is designed to provide balanced support and cushioning for a growing foot.
Can the elastic laces be replaced?
The elastic laces are integrated into the shoe design. If you prefer traditional laces, this model is not designed for them.
Are these suitable for wide feet?
The Cloudleap has a standard, regular fit. If your child has very wide feet, you may want to try them on for size first.
What is the primary material used?
The shoe features a high-performance breathable mesh upper and a supportive foam midsole with rubber contact points.
Troubleshooting
Difficulty putting on the shoe
Ensure the gusseted tongue is fully opened and use the heel tab to pull the shoe on while the child points their toes downward.
Shoe feels too tight over the arch
The elastic laces are pre-tensioned; ensure they are not twisted and allow them to settle for a few minutes, as they may stretch slightly with initial wear.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely lightweight construction reduces foot fatigue
- Easy slip-on design saves time
- Excellent grip suitable for multiple surfaces
- Durable enough for daily active wear
Cons
- Elastic laces offer limited adjustment compared to traditional laces
- Specific sizing may vary between colorways and regions
- Not intended for extreme rugged terrain or hiking
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because the Cloudleap uses an elastic lacing system, there is no "break-in" required for laces; simply ensure the tongue is centered and pull the heel tab for a quick fit.
Care Instructions:
- Wipe down the mesh upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
- Do not submerge the shoes in harsh detergents; use a mild soap solution if necessary.
- Air dry away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to preserve the integrity of the foam cushioning.
- Check the outsole rubber periodically to ensure no small stones or debris are wedged in the grip pattern.
